 Matt - Singer

Name: Matt York
DoB: 7th March 87
From: Harpenden, Herts., SE England
Musical Influences: Family

Matt is the one who takes charge at rehearsals, he is devoted to the band and he's 
always coming up with new ideas to improve our material. His singing style has 
developed continuously thorough the bands life and his lyrics add the final
touch to our hard practised songs.

Ollie - Guitarist

Name: Oliver Hughes
DoB: 30th June 87
From: Wheathampstead, Herts., SE England
Musical Influences: Incubus, Rage, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Anything.

Ollie is a cool laid back guy, he has great taste in music and he's a top bloke. His
sense of humour is definitely an acquired taste, though he certainly has his
funny moments and an undoubted commitment to writing quality music for 
anyone to enjoy.

Adam - Bass

Name: Adam York
DoB: 7th March 87
From: Harpenden, Herts., SE England
Musical Influences:

Adam is the joker of the band and always tries to make the practices as laid back 
as possible. His input into the band is legendary and he adds his own unique bass 
lines to any song we do. His obsessions in his wooden amp and a particular Staind
riff though are disturbing examples of his sense of humour.

Rowan - Drums

Name: Rowan Ollerenshaw
DoB: 2nd June 87
From: Wheathampstead, Herts., SE England
Musical Influences: Metallica, Incubus, Guns n' Roses

Rowan is probably the most active member of the band, the one who organises the practices and has a great input in the compositions. His music taste is rivalled to
none (except to the other members naturally) and not only does he play the 
drums, but he has been known to play a guitar or two.

Band History

We are a fairly new band based in Hertfordshire, UK, and we are currently writing our 1st set as Fretonic Sound.


The original band "Crisis" consisted of 5 members, 2 guitars, 1 bass, 1 singer and drummer. After a couple of gigs as Crisis the bassist left and our rhythm guitarist replaced him.


At that point we renamed to "Force Of Habit". In this stage of the bands life not much happened, we wrote a few new songs but never really got into it.

Eventually our ex-guitarist turned bassist left and we started looking for a new bassist. At this point the singer of recently folded "Payback" asked to play bass for us. We agreed and, after writing our best song so far, we decided on the new name "Fretonic Sound".

At the moment the band are trying to use the Christmas holidays to get a decent track list in order to do some quality gigs. The Next stage will be the recording of the set and creating a demo CD to send off
and you never know, maybe get signed by a small label.
